I met Anna from Envera at my first Ladies in Land meetup. I mentioned to her that the subject of security cameras kept coming up at many of my HOA meetings with residents, but the cost was so prohibitive I routinely dissuaded the HOA from adding cameras or license plate readers to their budgets. I asked Anna to send me a proposal for one amenity center where we had had a recent rash of trespassing. I warned her that the HOA operated lean, and we probably could not afford the service, but we still wanted to review the bid regardless. We were pleasantly surprised at how affordable having active cameras with 24-hour monitoring could be. Now, the county sheriff gets the trespassing calls from our security firm right away, instead of from me or the HOA management the next day. It really did help streamline the process of securing the area and it did not significantly impact the HOA budget. I am glad attending the Ladies in Land lunch brought us together — I did not realize security cameras with monitoring were within reach of the HOAs I serve.
