Positive press continues to be reported on the recent job growth and capital investment Envera Systems is making in their Sarasota operations center.

The following Herald-Tribune goes on to report the following:SARASOTA COUNTY – Envera Systems, which provides electronic security monitoring for communities, will expand its operations here, creating 30 new jobs and making a capital investment of $604,000.

The Boca Raton-based company has grown significantly each year for the past several years and now employs more than 100.

“Sarasota’s ideal location on the Gulf Coast allows us to remain close to our ever-growing Southwest Florida customer base, while also capitalizing on the skilled employee base from Tampa to Fort Myers,” Envera CEO Addi Aloya said in a statement.

“In addition, our existing employees, who have helped grow our business tremendously in the past five years, will benefit from our transition to the new facility, with the promise of a long-term commitment to the Sarasota area and its strong quality of life.”

The company will receive a Qualified Target Industry tax refund of $3,000 per new job created. The refund is divided 80/20 between the state and Sarasota County.

Envera’s “central station” operates continuously, protecting residents and visitors at Envera protected communities.

From what amounts to a call center at its offices off Sarasota Center Boulevard, Envera’s guards grant — or deny — access to dozens of communities, from Jacksonville to Miami.

The job is simplified by residents using a website to manage their guest lists, approving some and blocking others.

The Great Recession was actually been good for the start-up, which offers a sort of passive watchfulness through video cameras, motion detectors, two-way audio systems, remote-controlled gates and, of course, its Sarasota County-based virtual guards.

The company’s business plan turns on the idea that it costs an association $150,000 to post a guard 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Even with the price of surveillance equipment, which can be spread over a three-year contract, Envera can undercut that cost.
