Envera’s Virtual Gate Guard with Automatic License Plate Recognition expedites entry transactions and easily verifies repeat visitors at gated community entrances.
This gate security system captures an image of the license plate of each guest using the visitor lane to enter. Using Optical Character Recognition, the image is cross-referenced with the database of approved vehicles allowed into the community. If the vehicle has been to the community before and the license plate is recognized as verified and permanent, the gate will automatically open.
Residents use the web portal and/or smartphone app, MyEnvera, to register permanent, temporary, and one-time guests allowed into the community. This can include registering the license plate associated with a guest for the guest’s vehicle to be automatically recognized at the gate. This technology reduces stacking and wait times at entrance gates, while keeping record of all visitors entering the community.
When a vehicle is not automatically recognized, a licensed Virtual Guard will greet the guest at the Kiosk. The gate guard will manually verify the driver by asking for his or her name and the resident he or she is going to visit. The guard will call the resident to verify whether or not the guest is allowed into the community, and then grant or deny access as requested by the resident.
Automatic License Plate Recognition can also be used in conjunction with the security guard system called Guard Module Software with MyEnvera Support. Guard Module Software allows communities with onsite guards to verify visitors using Envera's Next Generation Software.
